What happened to my 24 recording?

Like many Americans, the DVR has become a necessity in life. I find myself so busy that without my DVR, it would be impossible to keep up with my nightly soap operas and reality shows. Monday night is Jack Bauer night and 24 is my show. I had begun to lose interest after the writer’s strike last year but this season has me hooked big time! Last night we had company over for dinner so we missed 24 in real time. Lucky for me, I subscribe to the Comcast DVR feature and 24 is set to record weekly. After our company departed, I sat down to watch Mr Bauer save the world. Unfortunately, I didn’t see 24 listed on my list of recorded movies. In place of 24 were 20 episodes of Dora the Explorer. whatzupwithat?

The Foot Massager

One of the best birthday gifts I ever received was a gift from my wife a few years back. It was the glorious foot vibrator/massager from Brookstone. How nice it is at the end of a long day to rest your feet on it and let it vibrate the tiredness away. Well, recently the kids spent a few days with us. Like us, they too love the massager. The massager was running for about 4 days straight until it burned out and died an early death. I have really been missing that important gadget but realized it’s only a gadget and I have to move on with my life. Last night we went over to our kids house for dinner. They showed me their new super duper leg/foot massager. I put my legs in and began to enjoy the pampering. Then it hit me. My foot massager was the one that broke and they celebrated by buying themselves a new one. whatzupwithat?

The Baby Geyser

There is a new baby hanging out around our house. He is definitely bringing a great deal of joy along with many interesting moments . We are experiencing a phenomenon that I have heard stories of before and seen on TV but always thought is was urban legend. The minute his diaper comes off, the geyser of pee begins!  whatzupwithat?

Have you seen one of the latest fisher price children’s toy on the market called “little mommy?” It is a Barbie type doll that comes with a few household accessories including a toilet of all things. The TV commercial actually shows a baby girl doll operating the little toilet. http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=5825&e=real-loving-baby The camera peers inside and the water (and whatever else it is) in the toilet is brown. “little mommy” gives it a flush, the surface in the toilet flips and becomes all clear. whatzupwithat?
